- Reuse carrier bags or buy a canvas bag for life for carrying those books to lectures, doing the shopping and for your gym kit.
- Save money on bills to enable you to buy that new winter coat by;
- Using low energy light bulbs and by using more concentrated products such as washing up liquid.
- Taking your phone charger out the socket when not in use.
- Turing off those standby buttons on all electrical appliances when not in use.
- Turn lights off when you have finished in the room.
- When boiling the kettle only boil the amount you need, turn the tap off when you clean your teeth and have a shower instead of a bath.
- Avoid using electrical heaters.
- All your accommodation is in walking distance from town and university, so stop using cars and buses and take gentle stroll.

DSU also collect old ink cartridges at the Computer Support and Repair shop which is on Level One and also in the DSU shop which is on the Lower ground floor of the Campus Centre.
