We are looking to recruit over 200 Fresher Reps this year, giving you the opportunity to help shape the university experiences of more than 5,000 freshers! Help to make one of the biggest and most memorable weeks of a student’s life brilliant, by being on hand to motivate as well as guide all new DMU students.
Working as part of a team you will encourage students living in halls to make the most out of their first week of University by getting them involved in events and activities taking place and helping to make their first impression of DMU an amazing one.
All Freshers Reps will receive:
• Free VIP wristband that will gain you free entrance to Freshers events all week
• Free coffee vouchers for Level 1
• DSU Rep t-shirt and lanyard that will identify you as a Rep
• £2 discount off an NUS Extra card.
• 15% discount of DSU Active card and/or Demon Media membership
- An experience you will remember for a lifetime
What will Freshers Reps have to do?
• Be available 4-6 hours a day throughout Freshers Week.
• Help at both daytime and night time events during the week
• Be willing to do hall visits to help Freshers settle in and answer any questions they have
• Promote and assist events in and around the Students’ Union
Reps will also attend a group interview and training in preparation for the week. All Reps must be available from Saturday 22nd September to Sunday 30th September (the dates of Freshers Week. This will include some evenings but not many early starts!
