DSU SECS Clinics “a clinic for students, by students”
*The SECS Clinic will be closed from 18th December – 4th January. The clinic will reopen on Thursday 7th January 2010.*
If you require sexual health services over the Christmas period you can go to:
St Peters Health Centre – based behind the train station
GU Clinic – based at Leicester Royal Infirmary
De Montfort Surgery – based at DMU and you don’t need to be registered as there is a SHACC service there
The clinics are a completely confidential service offering you free:
• Condoms (20 given on each visit)
• Pregnancy Testing
• Chlamydia Testing
• Sexual health information including STI information
The clinic is also a space for you to talk about your relationships and ask questions about your sexual health. You can now also email the clinic with questions by sending them to: secsclinic@dmu.ac.uk
Visiting the Clinic
Opening Times: Thursdays 10am-12pm (by appointment only) & 1pm-3pm (drop in)
Where: The SECS Clinic is based in the Welfare & Education Centre (first floor of the Campus Centre Building, City Campus)

Choices Clinic
Choices nurses are also available for consultations on Thursdays 12.30pm - 2.30pm (term time only) in the Students' Union. They can provide oral contraception, emergency contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing, HIV testing, pregnancy testing etc as well as support for any students aged 25 and under. No appointment necessary.
